Zoo Lights

Every year Brian's company has a Christmas party for the employee's children at the Denver Zoo. They get to see Santa, get their faces painted and see the zoo lights. They even got gift cards from Santa for Build A Bear. It was pretty cold but it's always a good time.
All Jayce asked for from Santa was "The Joker" from the Dark Knight. If only we could get away with that!

Brylee didn't know what to think. She started crying after I took this. She was diagnosed with a double ear infection that morning so she wasn't in the happiest mood.

Getting daddy started with some hot chocolate and schnapps.

Jayce with some of the cool lights.

Brylee was nice and cozy in her backpack and conked out at the end.

Gimme Three Steps Miss...ter

...for those familiar with Lynyrd Skynyrd : )
Brylee took 3 steps on several occasions last night at Grandma's house. Luckily I was there to see it! We kept trying to get her to go back and forth between us, but she was getting was too eager and diving a lot of the time (she thinks she can just skip the walking and start running) but she did pretty good overall. So cute to see such a tiny little thing walking. She even felt the need to applaud herself when we all clapped.
Sorry no pics or video - just documenting for my memory!

Merry Christmas! (almost)

Whew - what a workout! I take pictures semi-professionally for others, so why are my own kids the most difficult to take pictures of? Christmas is around the corner and I still need to get these into a card - Here are a few of the cute ones...

The little one was pretty much restricted to the chair to keep her from crawling away.

It's that time...

To rearrange the furniture and get the Christmas decorations out. Brian and I put the tree up today, but Jayce did most of the decorating. He did a great job too!

Hey, wait for me!

What do you mean, "Get down?!" I just want to be like my brother!

Another Milestone

Brylee has been standing unsupported for a a little while now, but she took her first step the other night. One step and dive - haha. It won't be long before she's walking. Crazy.

Another New Family Member

We officially have a FULL house. We adopted a kitty a couple weeks ago and I finally got around to getting a picture of her. She is really a sweet little cat and very personable. I think Brian even likes her. Meet Cece...

Fire School

Brian has been really busy with his ERT responsibilities lately and has been traveling for some hazmat training and classes. He just got back from fire training with the Fire Science Academy in Elko, NV. Lots of hard work - here are a few pics of all the fun his team had...

9 months old already!

Wow, does time fly! Little Miss turned 9 months a few days ago. She had a great check-up and is now 27.5 inches tall and 18 lbs 10oz. Growing like a weed! I tried to take her out today and get some photos - she has no interest at all. I thought this one was cute though...

She had a GREAT time on the swings after her torture - hahaha...

Big brother had lots of fun and even met another little boy at the park named Jayce.

Trick-Or-Treating!

We had so much fun trick-or-treating this year! Jayce was joined by his little buddies, Preston and Aiden. Our new neighborhood is so family oriented. Everyone was really into it all and it made for a great time!

More Berry Patch Farms

Some pictures with mom in them! Brian took a stab at using the big gun and got some pretty good shots!

Brylee really enjoyed tasting her first strawberry - fresh from the field.

Berry Patch Farms

Last weekend we took the kids out to the farm for some fall festivities. This place is soooo cool and only minutes from our home. You can pick berries and veggies from their field and they have an old barn they use as their store. Pigs and roosters running about... makes for a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle!

One of the many pretty rooters...

Picking raspberries...

Jayce mastered the hay maze better than most of the adults there!

October 15th...

was Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. We honored our boy by lighting candles for him (one for mom, dad, Jayce and Brylee) from 7:00 -8:00 last night.

The moon rose as we lit our candles - it was really neat. That's Caden's dragonfly Grandma & Grandpa Hinely got for him that is lit up to the right.

Puppy Love

So I was just going through my files and found these cute pictures of Brylee & Tyson from last month. So I have to post them!

Brylee in attack mode - run Tyson, run!

After Tys realized she wasn't so bad he decided to give Brylee some love :) Boxers are soooo good with kids!

October is Pregnancy & Infant Loss Remembrance Month

Remembering our angel Caden Max. Born still at 39 weeks gestation on June 9, 2006. What a beautiful child...

We will be honoring Caden at the annual Walk to Remember this Saturday, October 11th at Clement Park in Littleton. It is a memorial walk for parents, family members, and friends to come together to remember a precious baby who has died due to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, Neo-natal or any type of infant loss. This will already be our third walk we have attended.

Please honor Caden the night of the 15th by lighting a candle for him. I know he will see all the beautiful flickers from above!

Here we go!

Well, Brylee has officially started crawling. It takes a little incentive to get her going, but if she wants something, she will crawl to get it. Guess it's time to get those baby gates out! If I can ever figure out how to get the video on here, I will put t up... she's growing up so fast!

Handsome Boy

Well, Jayce is feeling much better and we had a chance to go out and play around today. I got some really cute pictures of him modeling for me. Here's a teaser... Check out my photography blog for more!

Sick Boy and Silly Girl

So my poor Jayce is already sick, just 3 weeks into school (go figure). He got to stay home with Grandma Dee today, so I know he is being completely pampered and spoiled. He's got a horrible cough and just feels plain nasty. Hope he gets better really fast!

And Brylee has caught on to the whole cough thing. She must have heard her big brother coughing and decided to mimic him. She has been fake coughing for the past couple days. She has been getting some laughs out of it, so she actually does this whole build up thing and let 'em fly. So funny!
On a separate note... Brylee is now pulling herself up on things (7 months). My mom walked in to check on her while she was supposed to be taking her nap the other day and saw this...

The crib was promptly adjusted and the mattress lowered! :)

Umm, is this normal?

Brylee trying to crawl or stand or something. Who knows what she's trying to do? It's pretty funny though...

Cute Moment

I figured I may as well post a pic of daddy and Brylee from Jayce's special day as well. If I don't post it now, who knows when I will get to it! I am a bad blogger!

And I completely breezed over a major milestone for Miss Brylee - she started sitting up a few weeks ago! Right at about 5.5 months. Strong little girl. At her 6 month appt, the doc said she would probably be walking by 10 months! YIKES! She's still growing great - right in the 50th percentile - 16 lbs, 2 oz - 26 inches. Our big girl...
