Jayce's first soccer game of '09
Despite the mini blizzard we had here on Thursday, the fields were cleared and the games went on this weekend! Jayce had his first soccer game with the Colorado Rapids Junior Academy at Dick's Sporting Goods Park with Team Gibbs. I was so proud of my boy. He did great and had a wonderful time!

It was quite chilly on the sidelines, but I think the kiddos kept pretty warm running around.

Jayce's attempt at goal keeping. There are actually no goalies in this age group, but hey, ya gotta give the kid credit for trying!

As they say in the big leagues, GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAL! So happy for my big boy! (You can see the ball going in in front of his right leg)

I have no idea what the score was, but Jayce swears his team won. I just know it was close and high scoring. The kids had a great time and I can't wait for some nicer weather so the adults can really enjoy it too!

Brylee loves books
Oh yes -This little one is constantly after us with a book in her hand, demanding (and I do mean demanding) us to read to her immediately. I could read 20 books to her in a day and that still wouldn't be enough. While I think it is GREAT that she loves books so much, it is enough to make a parent crazy! Here she is with daddy before he had to leave for work.

Caden's Blog
Ok, so I have been thinking about doing a blog for our angel for a little while now. Something to document memories before I forget. Someplace to put his beautiful photos. Somewhere to share random lyrics and quotes that just remind me of my baby, put a smile on my face a or tug in my heart. I hope that sharing some of my feelings and experiences might help someone else. At the very least, I expect it to be therapy for myself. Please add this to your list of blogs to follow...

Oreos & Tooth (Teeth!) Update
Jayce & I broke out the Oreos tonight and Brylee was begging for some. She had to have one for each hand. mmmm...

On the tooth front... we have a tooth as of last week! Brylee cut her bottom left tooth at 13.5 months. I was about to start looking into baby dentures. Funny thing though, when I was checking the progress a couple days ago I noticed the other bottom one coming in! She officially has 2 toofies!

1st Soccer Practice
Jayce had his first official soccer practice today and we had some gorgeous weather. He did so great - I am really proud of him! He listened to the coaches so well and helped corral the other kids when they ran off - haha. I wasn't able to get any good photos as I was chasing Miss Brylee around the entire time, but here are a couple snaps...

Getting a little lift on the ball...

There was a playground nearby so I was able keep Brylee out of the middle of practice. She just wanted to climb this slide. She thinks she's so much bigger than she is!

Backyard Play
Jayce got his new soccer shoes and ball yesterday and wanted to practice a little when we got back to grandma & grandpa's. His first practice is tonight - more photos to come!

Testing my new lens
A visit from Bo Bear
Bo Bear came all the way from New York to visit Jayce's Kindergarten class. All the kids got to bring him home for one night. He went to Target with Jayce and Grandma and got to play with all of Jayce's toys. They had a slumber party and Bo Bear slept right next to Jayce all night. Jayce wrote about their adventures in a class journal and included some pictures so everyone could hear about all the fun they had.

Shooting - Pawnee National Grassland
Last weekend we drove dang near the Nebraska border to go shoot the guns. There wasn't much out there, but I thought this windmill was pretty cool.

Daddy & Brylee making faces.

Getting everything ready. Buddy did really well with the guns. Just stood by Brian most of the time. Tyson was barking his head off.

The 9mm. Love how I caught the shell coming out...

The big boy - AR15...

I look so awkward. Oh well, It was fun to shoot.

Chef Jayce
Brian has done such a good job encouraging Jayce to cook. He always lets him help with dinner. They were making tortellini and meat sauce.

Gorgeous Day & Gorgeous Lashes
It was such a nice day out that we decided to spend a little time outside after Ainsley's party. It was nice to get my camera out in the outdoors again! Brylee really loves playing outside with her big brother.

I've been wanting to get some photos of the kids' eyelashes for some time, but just never got to it. Finally snapped a couple when hey were putting dead grass into some utility box thing. haha.
They have some amazing lashes!

Another Party
The kids went to another jump party a couple weeks ago at Pump It Up. Miss Ainsley was the birthday girl. We had such a great time. Thanks for having us guys!
Brylee loved sliding down this little bump...
